For nearly all of their relationship, Stephanie didn’t approve of Ridge and Brooke on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). Still, the matriarch would reluctantly attend their weddings — and this one, in a way, is no exception!
According to published reports, a decision is made to have Stephanie’s portrait hang in the mansion during Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) wedding.
While Stephanie (Susan Flannery) abused verbally and physically slapped Brooke throughout her life, by the end of it she had made peace with the woman she’d often call “an opportunist from the valley.”
In fact, Stephanie died in Brooke’s arms and appeared to be at peace so Brooke knows that they didn’t end on an ugly note. And Stephanie didn’t say what she didn’t mean. If she was at peace with Brooke, then she meant it!
Viewers will get to see Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) again as he is licensed to perform marriage ceremonies. The event takes place, appropriately, in the childhood home in which Ridge grew up.
As their last wedding in Australia didn’t happen because Brooke spied Ridge kissing Quinn (Rena Sofer), odds are that this one will go the distance.

But will the marriage? Ridge and Brooke are not without conflict for very long. But whatever comes at them next, they’ll likely face it as a couple together.
It’s not just Ridge’s dynamic with Quinn that could prove to be a future obstacle for Brooke and Ridge. Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) has made it clear that he still has feelings for his ex-wife. He may step aside fully once Ridge and Brooke are married, or Thorne may continue to carry the torch.
One person Brooke won’t have to worry about is Stephanie — as long as her portrait is secure and can’t fall on the happy bride!
