Looks like all those scenes between Liam and Sally may have had a dual purpose! Pierson Fodé, who plays Thomas (Sally’s current main man), is leaving The Bold and the Beautiful (BB).
Fodé broke the news in an exclusive interview in the September 18 issue of Soap Opera Digest, telling the magazine that it was the hardest decision he’s ever made since living in Los Angeles. He’ll last air on Thursday, Sept. 14.
The Signs Were There
There were a few hints that perhaps Fodé was on his way out. The actor was absent from the show’s recent fan event. (Perhaps he didn’t want to attend because his decision to leave had been made, and he didn’t want to share it just yet with his supporters?)
Also, after Fodé’s co-star Rome Flynn, who recently announced his exit from the show as Zende, tweeted “don’t spend your life doing something you don’t love because it’s not practical,” Fodé replied: “Truuuuuth.”
Thomas Had No Doubts
The tweets likely don’t refer to the actors being on B&B, but rather they speak to not wanting to stay in any one job their whole lives. In fact, Fodé told Digest that it’s his desire to take on other roles that prompted him to make this tough decision.

Family Support
Fodé says that he received nothing but support from his boss, Bradley Bell, the show’s executive producer and head writer and the rest of the B&B family. “Out of everyone, the hardest one to tell was Courtney [Hope, Sally]…she’s become my best friend.”
How Does This Affect The Show?
Only time will tell how Thomas’s exit will affect the show’s canvas. The soap’s already aired several scenes with Sally and Liam. He thinks what his dad, Bill, has done to Sally is despicable.
Is there a triangle with Sally and her nemesis Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who just so happens to be Liam’s wife, in the offering? Stay tuned!
