Karla Mosley, who plays Maya Avant Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, has much to celebrate these days. Not only is she a brand new mom, but it’s also the actress’s birthday today.
We’re guessing that Mosley’s wishes have already come true since she recently gave birth to a baby girl named Aurora Imani, who was born on August 17.
The actress is currently on maternity leave so she’s able to spend her special day with family and friends!
Mosley first came to the attention of soap fans almost a decade ago when she landed the part of Christina on Guiding Light.
After GL went off the air, Mosley joined the cast of B&B. She was on the canvas for a bit of time before viewers discovered that her character, Maya, was born Myron and went through medical procedures to live her life as a woman.
After Rick (Jacob Young) learned of Maya’s background, he had to think about it before deciding that he wanted a future with her.

Off-screen, Mosley is involved in various charities and sits on the board of Covenant House, which is the largest privately funded agency in America that gives shelter to runaways and other homeless young people.
