On The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Eric’s first marriage to Stephanie was… complicated, to say the least.
Stephanie (Susan Flannery) was controlling, underhanded, vindictive, and way too obsessed with the happiness of her firstborn son — to the exclusion of all else.
Eric (John McCook), on the other hand, neglected to mention that he was still in love with his college sweetheart, Beth.
The original Forresters had their ups and downs, and Eric even tried marriage with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — she cheated on him with his own son — and Donna — who still had feelings for her high-school flame, Justin. Ah, karma.
It wasn’t until he married Quinn (Rena Sofer) that Eric seemed truly happy in a marriage.
But, then… See: Brooke and Eric’s son. Only now with Quinn.
Quinn and Ridge didn’t go nearly as far as Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke had, so there is still hope of a reunion.

Let’s Do It Again
It’s not over till it’s over, scream 83% of you. The handful of liplocks between his son and his wife shouldn’t be enough of a reason for Eric to throw away what might be his last shot at happiness.
You expect Quinn to get through to Eric, and then happy days will be here again! Assuming Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) isn’t in the room…
It’s Over
Nope, nada, nyet, counter 16% of fans. No way could Quinn and Eric ever recapture their earlier happiness. Every time he looks at Quinn, Eric will see Ridge.
He’ll be wondering if his wife is really wishing she were with his son, and whether she might be comparing them to each other. That’s a recipe for grief, not happiness.
This marriage absolutely cannot be saved.
