The key relationship during the first 25 years of The Bold and the Beautiful was the dynamic between Stephanie and Brooke. The Forrester matriarch and the girl from the valley eventually became friends, but it sure didn’t happen over night.
Soap Hub asked B&B fans if they miss the showdowns between Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Read on for the results!
Better Off As Friends
Perhaps surprisingly, the majority of you, just over 50%, say you don’t miss Brooke and Steph’s battles.
While the show could have had Stephanie go out in a blaze of glory either framing Brooke for her death or leaving behind a video message trashing Brooke, the writers decided to have the two make amends and part as allies. This way, Brooke could move on with her life and know that Stephanie wants what’s best for her.
Enemies Always
The rest of you, just under 50%, says you miss Brooke and Steph’s fights. And, boy, did they have some big ones over the years!
Stephanie verbally taunted, berated, and manipulated Brooke when she was dating Ridge (then Ronn Moss; now Thorsten Kaye).

She threatened to break Brooke’s arm when she was pregnant with Bridget (Ashley Jones), and tried to kill her when she found out she was involved with Thorne (then Winsor Harmon; now Ingo Rademacher).
The Next Generation
Perhaps the Stephanie/Brooke feud will have a legacy on B&B. Certainly, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Stephanie’s granddaughter, not getting along with Brooke’s daughter Hope (Annika Noelle) continues the rivalry in a way.
Also, there might be a young woman out there who will someday date one of Brooke’s sons and on that day, if Brooke doesn’t approve of her, she’ll acquire perhaps a new respect for her former mother-in-law.
