Fans of Courtney Hope have followed her from The Bold and the Beautiful to The Young and the Restless where she now plays Sally Spectra. One place that they may not be able to follow her as much though is on social media. The actress recently announced a new self-imposed status with these digital platforms.

A Break For Courtney Hope

“Thankful, grateful, blessed- all the above,” Hope posted on Thanksgiving Day. “This year has been a rollercoaster but I am so appreciative of the people surrounding me and the blessings in my life. Thanks to everyone who has shown love and joined me on this journey of life!

“With that said,” the actress added, “I am going to take a much needed break from social media. If you need me, call or text me! See y’all soon. Stay safe, stay loving, stay curious. #BEHERENOW.”

Hope’s fans support not only the actress but her decision, too. “Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family (fur babies too!🐾)! Stay well & safe.🧡,” posted @beverly.avery.63889. Added @donad623: “Happy thanksgiving to you Chad [Duell, Michael, General Hospital, Hope’s boyfriend] and your family 🙏💕💙.”

Hope made the soap scene in 2017 when BB opted to do a revival of sorts of the Spectra gang, the clan that was led by the late, great Darlene Conley (Sally), who headed up Spectra Fashions, a design house known for its line of affordable knockoffs. The original Spectra group also included Sally’s righthand man Saul Feinberg (Michael Fox), her loveable assistant Darla (Schae Harrison), and Sally’s daughter, Macy (Bobbie Eakes).

The new Spectra gang was comprised of Hope’s Sally, the original Sally’s sister Shirley (Patrika Darbo), Saul’s grandson Saul (Alex Wyse), and Darlita (Danube Hermosillo). Like the first group, the new Spectra team did everything it could to stay in business. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) wanted the lot that the Spectra factory was on and blew it all up not knowing Sally and his own son, Liam (Scott Clifton), were still inside.

Sally shared a smooch with Liam and failed romances with both Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) before leaving town. She’s landed in Genoa City and, while Hope may not be chronicling her life on social media, viewers can tune in to see what Sally’s up to by checking out YR. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
