The combined Forrester and Avant families are stunned when Julius (Obba Babatundé) is very, very vocal regarding his unhappiness with Nicole (Reign Edwards) giving up her daughter to Maya (Karla Mosley) and Rick (Jacob Young).
Uhm… where have they been all this time? Julius was against it from the beginning.
He said Rick and Maya were bullying Nicole. They were.
He said Nicole had no idea what she was committing to. She didn’t.

Just because Julius was wrong about Maya’s change of gender (that was nobody’s business but hers), doesn’t mean he was wrong about the surrogacy. The latter didn’t just affect Maya and Rick, but Nicole and yes, the rest of the family, especially Zende (Rome Flynn).
In any case, Julius has been saying and saying and saying how he feels. It’s their own faults for not listening.
Steffy Is Very Open Minded
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doesn’t have a great track record with listening to any voices other than her own. Which is why her being vaguely open to Katie’s (Heather Tom) idea for promoting Forrester in Monte Carlo is a moment of great personal growth for her.
