The Bold and the Beautiful A Critic's Review Power Plays Abound
 Comments

When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of The Bold and the Beautiful week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review

Back in a magical time known as the early 1990s, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) infamously wrecked shop and ran off with a majority stake in Forrester Creations. She reigned as the CEO until 2003 – when she was brutally double-crossed by the likes of Ridge Forrester (then Ronn Moss, now Thorsten Kaye) and literally dumped into a garbage can by Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).

For the next few years, Brooke involved herself in a few other ventures – does anybody else remember Logan Designs? – and for a time she worked at Spencer Publications. She’s been back at FC since about 2017, doing…well, only God knows what. But now, it seems like Brooke wouldn’t mind settling back into the top spot at the company…with Ridge by her side, of course.

And that could make for some juicy drama – here’s hoping that The Powers That Be at The Bold and the Beautiful see fit to invest in this story, rather than drop a few tantalizing hints and then pretend they never did so.

And speaking of tantalizing hints…what exactly is John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) hiding? We know it has something to do with his parents – who we’ll soon be meeting – so the time for speculation is at hand. Did he do a very, very bad thing that only Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan know about? Might Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) be just one in a long line of patients that Finn has become obsessed over? The mind boggles.

Further BB Critic’s Musings

* Where the heck is Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), and Katie Logan (Heather Tom), and Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson)…and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) on The Bold and the Beautiful? Has Thomas ever gone to see his worried son? Is Bill still trying to win back Katie’s trust? And why, oh why hasn’t Donna been made privy to the facts that her honey bear is looking to divest himself of his current squeeze and that her other ex-husband, Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears), has done some very, very bad things?

* Remember that time Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) insisted that there was something sinister about her sister, Paris (Diamond White)? How she always seemed to insinuate herself in Zoe’s life and take over? At the time, we just assumed it was sour grapes on Zoe’s part…but what if there was some truth in those statements? What if Finn and Steffy have just welcomed a Lifetime Thriller level psycho into their abode?

* Do Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) serve any other purpose than playing Greek chorus on The Bold and the Beautiful? These are two playful, engaged thirtysomethings, and we’re expected to believe they have nothing better to do than scold Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) for her affair with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and then discuss the said affair in private?

* Anyone else of the opinion that the Eric Forrester (John McCook) of old one have tried to wrestle control of the jewelry line away from Quinn rather than attempt to divest the company of it like a petulant child?
