Weekly Recap: June 1-5, 2026
Monday, June 1 – Episode #298
Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) ran into her stepfather at Orphey Gene’s and decided that she and Andre (Sean Freeman) would have breakfast together. Chelsea appreciated that Andre would be taking her mom to the fashion show in Tokyo that would feature ChelseaKat bags. They also talked about Andre’s feelings about Derek’s death. He also expressed fear of losing Dani (Karla Mosley) to something random, out of the blue, and of the BRCA situation. Chelsea was happy that Andre could open up to her like that.
Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) reconnected in bed. While they were making out, Jacob heard two gunshots and practically freaked out. He was able to cover, but it was clear he was suffering from PTSD. Later, he didn’t look thrilled that he had to go down to the precinct where he was about to receive a commendation for his work busting the Red Market plasma ring. He told Naomi that Derek (Ben Gavin) was the real hero. Not him. He said he owed Derek to make sure everybody pays for what happened to his best friend, including The Impaler.
Meanwhile, Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) was in touch with The Impaler’s guy. Joey (Jon Lindstrom) wanted to make sure that this meeting was on his terms. Joey didn’t want The Impaler to encroach on his territory. But Randy would set up the meeting. Later, Izaiah (Lami) showed up at the casino to talk to Joey. He wanted to make sure that Joey had nothing to do with the plasma ring and everything that went down at the warehouse. That was his brother who could have died, after all.
Nicole (Daphne Duplaix) and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) talked at the country club. Vanessa was flipping through memories of Doug (Jason Grraham). She attributed this to being triggered by Derek’s death. Later, Vanessa teased Nicole about her love life and coming clean to Ted (Keith D. Robinson) about her fantasies. At the hospital, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted talked. She continued to struggle with her grief over Derek’s death. But next time, she wanted Ted to talk to her himself instead of asking his ex-wife to talk to her, even though she was friends with Nicole.
Nicole ventured to the hospital, where she talked to Shanice, who admitted she had had a talk with Ted about communicating with her instead of letting his ex-wife do it. And at the casino, Vanessa needed to know what they wanted to do about Jacob, who was suspicious of Joey’s involvement with the plasma ring.
Tuesday, June 2 – Episode #299
Everybody geared up for Jacob’s commendation ceremony. At Dani’s, Naomi talked to her mom about Jacob still wanting to do undercover work. She didn’t know if she could handle that again and again and again. But Dani advised her to live in the moment, make every second count, and let your partner be who he needed to be.
At Uptown, Smitty (Mike Manning) and Kat (Colby Nixon) talked. She was thinking about doing a true crime podcast. She wanted the subject of her first podcast to be Lynette Wise’s (Dominique Madison) disappearance. Smitty wasn’t sure if that was the way to go. He told her that, as a reporter, he can’t go rogue whenever they want. That digging into that disappearance could be dangerous.
At Orphey Gene’s, Izaiah told Darlene (Monique Mosee) that Eva (Ambyr Michelle) would be at the commendation ceremony. She wasn’t happy to hear that. Izaiah issued an ultimatum. He told his mom to basically make nice with his girlfriend. This wasn’t a casual thing like Darlene thought. He loved Eva, and she would be present at the ceremony and any other family event. And that if anybody got cut out of his life, it won’t be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) planted herself at Eva’s place. But Eva said she had somewhere to be.
At the precinct before the ceremony, even Elon (Malachi Malik) and Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) had to talk Jacob into accepting the commendation. He didn’t see the point. The Impaler was still out there, and Derek was dead. But Elon told his son about the good that he did do when he took down the plasma ring at that warehouse. And that was why he was being honored.
The Hawthornes, Dani, and Eva were present at the precinct. Dani wondered where Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) was. Naomi told her that Hayley (Marquita Goings) declined on his behalf, which Dani said was nonsense. She called Bill, who was at the country club with Hayley. He had no clue about the commendation ceremony. Hayley later told him she thought he needed the rest. He told her to run things like that past him.
During the ceremony, Jacob heard the two gunshots again. He shook it off and received the commendation. But he was in a bad mood, and he and Naomi left early. He wanted to get a drink alone. Naomi let him go. At Uptown, Kat comforted him in a way that Naomi wasn’t able to. Leslie showed up at the precinct with treats for Marcel and the cops. She and Darlene got into it, but they did try to play nice. Sort of.
Wednesday, June 3 – Episode #300
Nicole talked to Anita (Tamara Tunie) about her love life, including her fantasies about Ted. Smitty kicked everybody out of the crowded Smith-Richardson house so he could finish the first draft of his article that focused on the plasma ring.
Aunt Monica (Iona Morris) was in town, and Shanice wanted to know why. Monica was up for the chief of staff opening at Garland Memorial. Whoever took Lia’s place would have to be up to the task of dealing with the hospital’s major PR issues stemming from the plasma ring scandal. Naomi joined Shanice and Monica and really tried to convince Monica to take the job. Monica was on the fence.
At the country club, Eva and Ted talked about Eva’s feelings over losing Derek, who was a great general manager of the free clinic, and now she has temporarily taken his place. Ted told her to take some time away from his practice so she could focus on getting the clinic in order.
Later, Ted sat down with Martin (Brandon Claybon), and much of their conversation focused on Smitty and Nicole. Ted had no idea what was going on with his ex-wife. Martin advised Ted that he would hate to see his dad lose something great (Shanice) to chase something that would never be the same (Nicole).
At Orphey Gene’s, Samantha (Najah Jackson) met with Kat and Chelsea. They talked about the cotillion and told her how proud they were of Samantha. She won the title of Platinum Deb. The cousins hyped Samantha up after she talked about her rocky journey to the big event. She felt like an impostor, but she persevered. And Kat and Chelsea showed their appreciation by giving her their new ChelseaKat bag and told her that she could name it. At Jessica’s (Camryn Jade) house, she and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) played chess, discussed the state of their relationship, and hooked up again.
Meanwhile, Naomi stopped by Smitty and Martin’s place. She wanted to talk to Smitty now that Jacob’s undercover operation was over. She thanked him for being there for Jacob since he was the one who originally gave her husband the tip. And she acknowledged the fact that he had tried to be there for her as well, even though he kept why a secret.
Shanice and Eva bonded over their shared love for Derek. Vernon (Clifton Davis) caught up with Monica to see where the doctor stood on the job opening. Monica had conditions. And Vernon said he would reach out to the board and get back to her. However, it seemed he thought the board would agree to her terms.
Thursday, June 4 – Episode #301
There were many flashbacks in this episode that told the story of the beginnings of Hayley and Randy’s big con. In the present, Hayley and Randy talked about the past, before BTG started. When Hayley and Randy got together to talk about their upcoming scheme, Hayley assumed their mark would be Joey Armstrong. But Randy had another idea. He did the research, and it was his idea that Bill Hamilton, Esquire, be their target. And Hayley’s in would be through Naomi. Hayley got close to Bill’s daughter and became her best friend.
In the present day, Andre consoled Dani while she took a tough stroll down memory lane. A recent chat with Bill triggered memories of how she twisted herself to be everything for Bill. She told Andre about how hard she tried to hold on to her marriage, even after Bill was with Hayley. And that, before Bill and Hayley got married, she went to him and begged him to stop the wedding and come back to her. And he wouldn’t. We saw some of this in flashbacks.
Meanwhile, present-day Bill ruminated on both his past and present romantic relationships, and sisters Naomi and Chelsea met up and began talking about their parents’ rocky marriage. Through flashbacks, we saw the Hamiltons at home and Hayley coming into their lives. Dani was the one who suggested that Bill hire Hayley to work at the law firm. And they started to connect. And then start an affair. Hayley played into his ego because Dani was pouring so much of herself into being Chelsea’s manager. She was often gone with Chelsea, who was modeling.
And we even saw what happened to bust Dani and Bill’s marriage wide open. Dani and Chelsea arrived home unexpectedly while Bill and Hayley were in his and Dani’s bedroom, trying to pack his stuff up and get out of there. They didn’t make it out in time. They had to talk to Dani and Chelsea.
All in all, Dani still has to forgive the person inside her that she turned to while married to Bill. Bill still doesn’t see the real person he’s married to. And Randty warned Hayley to keep her eyes on the prize.
Friday, June 5 – Episode #302
Vernon was on the phone with his friend, Victor Newman (The Young and the Restless‘ Eric Braeden) from Genoa City, Wisconsin. The patriarch of the Duprees secured Victor’s support. He will be the keynote speaker for Martin’s upcoming political fundraiser. He will undoubtedly be responsible for a huge donation as well. In fact, he could be the gateway to a ton of Midwest donations for Martin. Anita and Martin were happy to hear about Victor’s participation.
Before Martin showed up at his grandparents’ place, he was at home with Shonda (Dawntavia Marrero), his campaign manager. They were trying to figure out the seating at the fundraiser. Thanks to Smitty, they won’t be sitting Victor next to Jack Abbott (Y&R’s Peter Bergman). Martin said his friend, Kyle Abbott (Y&R’s Michael Mealor), will also be there. Meanwhile, Smitty’s one-off article about the plasma ring has now turned into a five-part series that he hoped would roll out over the next few weeks. So he announced it would take up all his time. While he will be at the fundraiser, he will duck out after Martin’s speech to work. Martin wasn’t happy about that.
Joey and Randy prepared to meet The Impaler. Only Vanessa arrived just in time to discover that Joey had a meeting with the leader of the plasma ring. She wanted to stay, but Joey said absolutely not, so he had Randy take her to his home. There, Vanessa and Randy talked about Doug. She was grateful that Doug had Randy as a friend when he moved to the D.C. area. But Vanessa ultimately wanted Randy to protect Joey at the casino. She wouldn’t go anywhere. She wanted one of them to. be there for Joey, and so Randy left and went back to the casino. Joey was concerned that Randy had disobeyed his orders, but he was happy Randy had shown up for him. The Impaler arrived, but we didn’t see who it was.
Jacob wanted to do right by Derek. The guilt still ate at him. He told Naomi that he would do whatever it took to get everyone responsible for the Red Market ring. And he then went over to Smitty’s, where they came up with a way to draw The Impaler out in the open. Jacob had wanted Smitty to plant lies in his articles, but Smitty came up with another way.
Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) showed up at Ashley’s, wanting her to take her anger out on him, which she did. But he hoped things could get better between them, that she would forgive him. Naomi tried to talk some sense into Ashley (Jen Jacob) after Grayson left. She wanted to know why Ashley refused to let Grayson back in. Maybe it was out of a sense of guilt. And maybe she felt it wasn’t right since Derek was gone. Later, at Orphey Gene’s, Naomi told Grayson to be patient with Ashley.
