Weekly Recap: August 3-7, 2026
Monday, August 3 – Episode #338
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) confided in an unlikely ally. As expected, he turned up at the casino and opened up to Joey (Jon Lindstrom), who listened to him. After Mona (Karan Kendrick) ran into Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) at Orphey Gene’s, she showed up at the casino and played Joey in a game of poker. She said she was playing to save Randy’s soul. She actually beat Joey, which impressed him.
Back at Orphey Gene’s, Kat (Colby Nixon) spied on Randy. When she talked to Mona, she learned that he worked for Joey Armstrong. At Naomi’s place, Hayley (Marquita Goings) surprised Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit). She said she wanted to apologize for throwing them out of her house earlier. Naomi and Chelsea didn’t really buy it.
At the country club, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) compared notes about Hayley with Anita (Tamara Tunie), who added her own two cents. She said that she had witnessed a charged moment between Hayley and Kyle Abbott (Young and the Restless‘ Michael Mealor) the night of the tornado. It didn’t mean anything untoward had happened, but it seemed like something had taken place.
Vanessa and Randy met up. She said she wanted to check up on him since he was Doug’s (Jason Graham) good friend. Vanessa kind of gave him a heads-up that he needed to watch out for upsetting other powerful men in the DMV, like Bill Hamilton.
Finally, Dani, Naomi, Kat, and Chelsea fleshed out theories about Hayley. Meanwhile, Bill appreciated Hayley attempting to apologize to his daughters.
Tuesday, August 4 – Episode #339
Hayley was forced to pivot when Bill gave her a health update. He admitted to her that he could no longer go on their trip to St. Bart’s. He didn’t think his body could take it. Hayley instead suggested a staycation, even though she was incredibly disappointed.
Meanwhile, Naomi headed over to Bill’s law firm to find out what Hayley’s prenup said about cheating. There she ran into Tomas (Alex Alegria), who had just returned from Puerto Rico. Of course, he felt threatened by Naomi’s presence. She said he needed to spend time with Kat. She was no threat.
After Jacob (Jibre Hordges) caught up with Izaiah (Lami), he headed home. There, he found out what his wife and the girls were up to. He will be an ally for the group. Kat dropped by the law firm to see Tomas, but first ran into Caroline (Ellie Wang), who said she was headed to Uptown for a drink.
That’s where Chelsea pumped her for intel on Hayley. Caroline was hurt over the fact that Hayley barely acknowledged her presence these days. Kat reunited with Tomas and tried to get him to help her out with their plan to get the goods on Hayley. Tomas wished her luck, but wouldn’t do anything to help out.
Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) reconnected with Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley), who wanted to spend time with her. Nicole told him she was tired and wanted to be alone. And then Kial (Greg Vaughan) surprised Nicole with his early return. Nicole and Kial went home together, and Carlton spotted them.
In other news, Noah (Nick Hagelin) impressed Eva (Ambyr Michelle) by helping save a patient at the clinic who had OD’d on his very first day of work. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) crashed Eva’s Uptown dinner with Noah. The two got to know each other.
Finally, Izaiah saved Eva from having to stick around. When they got home, Izaiah tried to figure out what was wrong with Eva. She opened up that it was her massive scar. She was having problems dealing with this new world where she’s scarred.
Wednesday, August 5 – Episode #340
Leslie put Nicole’s love life on blast. She told Nicole and Carlton that she hired Kial’s son, Noah, at the clinic. And he told her that his dad had been spending every night at Nicole’s place.
Elsewhere, Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) had this big plan to spend as much time with Jessica (Camryn Jade) during the school year while he’s at Banneker and she’s at UCLA. He said he would fly out every weekend. Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty (Mike Manning) didn’t like it.
And Jessica told Samantha (Najah Jackson) that she wanted to do things Tyrell wouldn’t necessarily find fun, like going to parties. Jessica ultimately broke up with Tyrell, who received advice from Carlton. They concluded the formula was flawed. Tyrell couldn’t be the one who continually made concessions. He had needs that needed to be met as well.
Anita tried to get her musical side going again, but she struggled wth her voice thanks to chemo and now her radiation treatments. She talked to Vernon (Clifton Davis) about it, who said it would be okay if she wanted to postpone the studio session with Devon (Y&R’s Bryton James) and the other Articulettes. Anita felt frustrated.
Anita later helped Nicole realize that something had to give with her relationships. That her heart already knew what it wanted, but her head was getting in the way. Carton was familiar and safe. Kial was fresh and exciting. But she had to make a decision.
Eva continued to struggle with her post-transplant situation. She felt different and wanted to get the scar removed. So she turned to Carlton, the plastic surgeon. She told him that she had been hiding from the mirror because she didn’t want to see it. Carlton broke the terrible news to her. They wouldn’t be able to remove the scar anytime soon.
She was still recovering. It was too soon. Once her transplant team signed off on her recovery, they could revisit and see if there were any options that would work to minimize the appearance. But he couldn’t guarantee any doctor could make it completely disappear.
Finally, Vernon met up with Izaiah. They talked business. Vernon, through his new consulting gig, could help out students at Banneker. Vernon also ran into Leslie, who vowed her shouse would live to see another day. She would start construction up again, which was something Vernon didn’t want.
Thursday, August 6 – Episode #341
Hayley and Randy met up at Uptown. She confessed that Bill had backed out of their St. Bart’s Trip. Randy told her she needed to figure out a way to reverse that decision. They also talked about Randy getting half of the insurance payout. And he warned her not to get greedy and go after the rest of Bill’s assets.
Chelsea told Andre and Dani about questioning Caroline. Then Bill summoned her to the club, where he expressed his upset over her targeting Caroline and failing to respect his wishes. But Chelsea warned him that Hayley was playing him.
Ted and Leslie also locked horns at the country club. Their topic of conversation was Eva. Leslie wanted him to do what he could to make Eva’s scar disappear. Ted said that Eva needed emotional support, not plastic surgery. But Leslie wouldn’t listen. She said she would find a way to help Eva.
Nicole and Carlton finally talked. Carlton saw the writing on the wall, however. He was no longer comfortable being a part of a relationship where her focus was split. He was ready for them to prioritize each other. When he realized that wasn’t going to happen, he basically bowed out of the triangle. He wanted to know what she saw in Kial. She said that she saw Kial as a fresh start. And he knew that was something he couldn’t compete with.
Dani surprised Randy at Uptown. She told him that she was all about Randy doing whatever he wanted with Hayley. More power to him and all of that. Later, Dani met with Tatum Stewart (Milly Figuereo), who asked for Dani’s feedback on designs for her next collection. Dani was fair and constructive with her feedback, and Tatum appreciated it.
While Chelsea and Andre chatted at the club, Andre received a text from the same mystery person who undoubtedly sent the champagne. And once again, he was rattled.
Friday, August 7 – Episode #342
Andre turned to Smitty for help identifying the mystery person who texted him. Smitty couldn’t help all that much, but he thought that maybe someone who works for the police — Jacob, maybe? — could help him track down whoever has that number. There would have to be a criminal-type reason to take that step, however.
When Ted stopped by the table, he asked what in the world would bring Andre and Smitty together. Andre lied to his uncle, which Smitty noted as interesting. If he was lying to his uncle about whatever was going on in his life, then this had to be huge. Andre assured him that what was going on wouldn’t impact Martin’s campaign in any way.
Ted comforted his distressed daughter. Eva still struggled with the realities of living with this perpetual reminder of what she went through. They talked about how she could potentially deal with the physical scar after it had healed.
But he also brought up the idea of therapy to deal with the mental health scars she was carrying. Eva wasn’t too happy about it. He asked his daughter to at least attend one session to see if it was something she would be okay with doing. She said she would think about it.
Heather (Ashley Jones) suddenly showed up at Uptown and sat down with Vanessa and Dani. And she bonded with them both. Later, Vanessa told Joey that they were down for dinner with his sister. Of course, Joey already knew that Heather was in town. He had Randy and his people keep tabs on her. Heather knew that Joey knew she was in town.
Meanwhile, Nicole updated Kial on Carlton and asked if he was okay with being exclusive because she was ready. Kial and Nicole made love, and afterward, he wondered aloud how things would change between them now that they were all in. Nicole said he would need to be ready for more interrogations from her family.
Finally, Bill decided he was up for St. Bart’s after all, which was exactly what Hayley had wanted. But first, he had to go to his office and pick up some papers. That’s where he collapsed, and Caroline rushed to his rescue.
