Hayley’s Victories May Come at a Price
Hayley (Marquita Goings, BTG’s Performer of the Month for September 2026) has no business being a free woman. But she worked the blackmail angle and came up big. The charges were dropped.
So far, there have been a few consequences of her actions. She is no longer welcome beyond the gates of Fairmont Crest. This means no more access to the country club for her. And she can’t get an appointment at her go-to hair salon.
But on Tuesday, Hayley scores a big win…but at a big cost. This could be about her divorce from Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and getting the prenup settlement she was promised. But Bill said he would plant some gotcha clauses in the document. So there’s a chance that Hayley could run into trouble on that front.
Or maybe Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) made good on sweet-talking Lionel Belleclaire (Andre Hall) to get Hayley guest passes to the country club. Whatever it is, she may be riding high, but at least she may pay a price for her wins. Karma has to come looking for her at some point.
Leslie Has Some Explaining to Do
Speaking of Leslie, she is the one who bailed Hayley out. She will probably continue to do things to ingratiate herself with the con artist. She feels that their friendship could prove valuable down the line. Bailing her out means Hayley owes Leslie a favor. And Leslie loves to collect favors.
However, Eva (Ambyr Michelle) couldn’t believe her mother had helped Hayley. And Anita (Tamara Tunie) already expressed her supreme disappointment in what Leslie did. She basically said that every time she shows an ounce of humanity, she ends up hurting the Duprees.
But Leslie doubled down on wanting to be Hayley’s friend. And now she has some explaining to do. Look for Leslie to defend her actions.
Nicole is Shocked and Appalled
Anita and Dani’s update blindsides Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix). News is spreading through the family that Bill dropped the charges against Hayley. While some family members aren’t privy to the leverage Hayley used on Bill, Nicole will probably get the full story.
It isn’t surprising that she will feel blindsided. The blackmail material centers on her son and that awful night Martin (Brandon Claybon) experienced with Vernon (Clifton Davis) a few years ago.
Vernon Makes His Position Clear to Bill
Hayley outsmarting and outplaying Bill could have serious repercussions for the Duprees. Should Hayley reveal the leverage she has, it would ruin the family’s reputation. And so they have to be very careful here.
Vernon obviously doesn’t like that his secrets are in jeopardy of being exposed because Bill saw fit to trash his first marriage after falling in love with Hayley. So he puts Bill on notice.
