We’re really starting to have fun with the Beyond the Gates cliffhangers. Last week, the Friday episode ended with a gunshot at Bill and Hayley’s wedding. Things ended with a different bang in the Friday, March 7 episode. It seemed like Bill didn’t back down and had Dani arrested. But she wasn’t the only one in trouble.
In Trouble
Dani Dupree
Dani’s foray into vengeful gun-toting ex was short-lived. It felt like she had an epiphany. In the Thursday episode, Dani (Karla Mosley) said what she said to Hayley (Marquita Goings). And on Friday, she decided to move on with her life. She came to the realization that her marriage was over, and she would rediscover who she was without Bill (Timon Durrett).
Unfortunately for Dani, Jacob (Jibre Hordges) dropped by the Dupree home and arrested Dani for attempted murder. Now it’s going to be hard to fight the charge, considering her mid-wedding meltdown was live-streamed and has gone viral. How will Dani get out of this trouble? More importantly, will this arrest cause the ex-model to revert back to gun-toting wild card Dani?

Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson
Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) won’t be aware of how much trouble she’s in when she connects with Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant), who’s suddenly a woman on the ledge. And Nicole will have to use her considerable psychiatric skills to talk this woman off the edge and the ledge.
This is going to be the beginning of bad news for Nicole. Leslie has this narrative of everything that happened back in the day. We don’t know if it’s true. And she will absolutely take out her anger and bitterness for Ted (Maurice Johnson) on Nicole. Nicole isn’t prepared for the trouble that’s about to come after her.

Doug McBride
Finally, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Doug (Jason Graham) have an interesting marriage. They’re together, but they also seem to live very separate lives. Turns out Doug has a gambling addiction, and he’s kind of a loser at cards. In the process, he’s lost money and is desperate to get back on the winning side, hence the meeting he takes with the Lincoln Lawyer of shady casino owners, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom).

It’s clear that Joey’s trying to scam Doug. He told the cardiac surgeon that he paid his current debts and gave him more money to gamble away. Joey wants Doug to be indebted to him, undoubtedly to leverage him for something in the future. Does he want to use McBride for his medical skills? Or is there something else going on here? Needless to say, Doug is in trouble. And he can’t trust his friend Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) either.
