A Word from Carol Cassada
My two greatest passions are writing and soap operas, so I’m excited to have a career that lets me combine the two.
My writing journey started in high school when I took a creative writing class. I fell in love with writing and knew that’s what I wanted to do with my life. I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Writing degree, and since then, I’ve been working as an entertainment news writer. My previous jobs include Soap Opera Spy and Showbiz Cheatsheet, to name a few.
Although I cover all forms of entertainment, soap operas are my specialty. Like many people, I grew up watching the shows with my mom. It started with The Bold and the Beautiful and then moved on to others. I used to read about all the soap opera news and spoilers, now I’m reporting on them.
In my spare time, I love to unwind with a good book — either a romance or mystery. I also love spending time with my two dogs and cat.
