Brady and Theresa were adorable, but Brady cast her aside after all she did to save him and Tate ruined their appeal on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). Then, a spark with JJ changed everything!
They hated each other when they first met but both JJ (Casey Moss) and Theresa (Jen Lilley) have grown up and matured into caring, responsible adults who have fought demons and made their way through.
Right now, JJ has been devastated after Lani (Sal Stowers) lost her baby, that he at one point thought was his — but Theresa managed to listen and cheer him up. They forged a bond and when he saw that he could help her not lose her kid, he jumped at the chance.
That meant everything to Theresa. Because of JJ, she won custody of Tate, but she felt horrible that it could cost him the future he’s worked so hard to achieve.
All of this is classic soap storytelling and would have made for the beginning of a fabulous love story between these two legacy characters — a Horton and a Brady. What could be better?

Sadly, Jen Lilley is leaving just as things started to get interesting between the two friends. It’s a shame that DAYS can’t lure the actress to stay longer. She shines with everyone she has scenes with and could have continued to be a thorn in Brady and Eve’s romance.
But mostly, she would have brought JJ to life, who has been floundering ever since his last romance with Lani. While it was sweet that he was seeing his partner, JJ then quit the force and lost the girl.
There’s always hope he could reignite things with Lani or even Gabi (Camila Banus), but it’s a shame that we’ll never know what he could have been like with Theresa. Until next time, perhaps…
