Michael Graziadei and Lauren Carey
As Daniel Romalotti, Michael Graziadei is TV dad to daughter Lucy on The Young and the Restless. Now, the actor has some real-life personal parenthood news to share with his friends and followers!
“On Wednesday August 25th these two little monsters were brought into this world with the strength of my queen @lmcla and the skill and care of our incredible doctor and her team,” Michael Graziadei shared about him and his partner, who delivered their twins.
“Since their delivery it has been a rollercoaster with both boys having to stay in the NICU,” the actor added. “Huge shoutout to all the NICU parents out there and to all the doctors and nurses that care for these babies to ensure they all go home happy and healthy. Without their vigilance, support, and love, this would be unbearable and impossible. So without further adieu… making their first Instagram appearance… I submit for your approval, Oliver Bear and Arlo Wilde #proudpapa.”
Graziadei played Daniel Romalotti, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Danny’s (Michael Damian) son from 2004 to 2013. He popped up for some episodes in 2016. Many of Graziadei’s daytime pals chimed in with not only well-wishes but an offer of support from one who’s been there! “Dude! Welcome to the club! Thrilled for you and your beautiful family,” posted Greg Rikaart (Leo, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem; Kevin, Y&R). Added Christian Le Blanc (Michael), “AMAZING!!! BEAUTIFUL!! Congrats brother!!!”
Adrienne Frantz (ex-Amber, The Bold and the Beautiful), who was wed on-screen to Michael Graziadei’s Daniel during her time as Amber on Y&R, can relate to the challenges Graziadei faced in his first few weeks as a parent. “Congratulations daddy! I am so happy for you!” Frantz posted, recalling her own days after her son was born. “Lion was a NICU baby! It is the hardest thing any parent has to go through! Call me if you guys want to talk to someone who has been through it! Love you!”
