The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Wednesday, April 25 prove the well-worn soap-opera trope that nothing erases a lifetime of bad deeds quicker than a life hanging in the balance.
Nick agrees to call a truce with Victor. But, is the reason as clear-cut as it seems? There are two possibilities here:
What’s Behind Door Number One
Nick (Joshua Morrow) spent hours at his dad’s bedside. He was praying for Victor (Eric Braeden) to fight off his infection and come out of his coma.
Then, he tried to understand what the stroke-addled Victor (Eric Braeden) was trying to say when it came to JT (Thad Luckinbill) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
Seeing his father in such a weak, vulnerable state might have made Nick reconsider holding Victor responsible for all of his past crimes.
These range from getting Adam – and, as far as Nick knows, Chloe – killed to cheating on Nick’s mother, and trying to destroy Nick’s business.
Not to mention Victor’s ongoing attempts to control Nick’s children. He sent Noah all the way to Mumbai, and has gotten Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to lie for him on numerous occasions.
But, hey, Victor’s sick now! All is forgotten!
What’s Behind Door Number Two

Nick doesn’t want Victor to find out that Christian is Adam’s biological child, because Nick doesn’t want to lose the boy he loves.
He also doesn’t want Victor getting his hands on the adorable little boy who thinks of him as a father.
So, maybe this is a case of keeping your friends close but your enemies closer. Maybe Nick has learned a few secrets from his old man, and is now taking a page out of Victor’s book.
If Victor believes Nick is back under his thumb, he won’t feel compelled to look for ways to bring Nick down. (Of course, Victor already knows about Christian. But Nick doesn’t know that. And Victor doesn’t know that Nick knows. Close family!)
