Secrets, lies, and scandals are a part of Sharon Case’s daily screen life on “The Young and the Restless.” There’s rarely a day goes by that Sharon isn’t in the midst of a central and dramatic storyline.
Currently, Sharon is trying to come to terms with her feelings for Sully. For Sharon, hiding the baby’s true identity is the only option.
“It’s about whose lives are going to change, and many not for the better,” Case explained to Soap Opera Digest. “She worries that the loss of a child would be devastating for Dylan.”
Case also explained that Sharon worries about how losing a baby she thinks is her brother could affect Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind). The little girl has had a rough life for someone so young and the truth could turn her world upside down.
Poor Sharon is also thinking about the baby himself. She and Dylan (Steve Burton) are the only parents he knows and uprooting him from his family could be a shock to his system.

“Sharon is thinking about all these complications, as well as the fallout, and she thinks that it’s better to just stay quiet for now,” Case explains.
In the meantime, Case revealed that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon will get closer because of the baby. Sharon isn’t ready to tell the truth, but she won’t want Nick to miss out on watching his son grow up.
“Every time he learns a new word or gets a new tooth, she doesn’t want Nick to miss out.” But, will this be enough to ease Sharon’s guilty conscience?
Does this mean Sharon will keep Sully’s identity a secret indefinitelty? With Sage’s death, Sharon doesn’t seem to be in any rush to spill the beans.
