Michael Muhney, one of the most popular former Adams on The Young and The Restless, is back on TV tonight as a concerned father on the hit ABC series The Good Doctor.
In the episode, titled “Point Three Percent,” the series lead character, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), encounters a young patient who looks eerily similar to his deceased brother, Steve.
Murphy becomes concerned upon learning that his patient’s parents, played by Muhney and Samantha Sloyan (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal), have kept their son’s illness from him.
Shaun struggles to understand why his young patient doesn’t deserve to hear the truth about his own health from his father and mother.
As you can see in the teaser video below of tonight’s episode, the Emmy-nominated Muhney pulls no punches as his character gets tearful over his son’s condition–which may or may not have been properly diagnosed.
The Good Doctor airs tonight, Monday, Oct. 23 from 10:01 to 11:00 p.m. on ABC.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
