Y&R and DAYS Star Greg Rikaart Celebrates His Birthday

On The Young and the Restless, Kevin is raising his kids with Chloe and showing his brother Michael, and sister-in-law, Lauren, support when he can. On Days of our Lives, Leo is stirring up drama as a gossip columnist and a blackmailer. Off-screen, actor Greg Rikaart is busy celebrating a major milestone.

That’s because he was born on February 26, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, which means that this talented performer is turning 47 years old today. Rikaart’s career was jump-started by an appearance on the WB series Felicity, which was quickly followed by episodes of Strong Medicine, Gilmore Girls, Grounded for Life, That’s Life, and As If.

Between 2002 and 2003, he had a recurring role on the WB serial Dawson’s Creek and could be seen in the feature films Prey for Rock and Roll and X2, as well as the short Fake Stacy.

On July 11, 2003, Rikaart made his debut on the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless as Kevin Fisher. He would air as a series regular until July 2017, though he would continue to appear sporadically until February 2018.

His work as Kevin netted Rikaart five Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor and secured him one win in 2005. After his initial exit, he joined the cast of Days of our Lives where he plays Leo Stark. Rikaart reprised Leo for the Peacock holiday movie Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas before returning to the main show, where Leo stirred up all kinds of trouble.

Now, he does double duty on both soaps because he recurs as Kevin on Y&R. Rikaart’s other credits include guest roles on The Closer, CSI: Miami, Imaginary Bitches,  Bones, and four episodes of Major Crimes.
