The Young and the Restless Spoilers April 9, 2020
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 9, 2020 wait with bated breath for Sharon to learn her medical fate, while Phyllis pulls the rug out from Abby’s plans. Elsewhere, Nick wants to take action, but Nikki puts her foot down.
Sharon (Sharon Case) couldn’t hold back her emotions any longer as she learned that the chemotherapy she was counting on to shrink her tumor hadn’t worked as well as she hoped for. Surgery might be required.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) offered support, but it didn’t exactly cheer her up. The big question now is whether Sharon will need a lumpectomy or a full out mastectomy, something she wants to avoid at all costs. But if the alternative is death…
Sharon knows matters are bad when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and even Phyllis are being nice to her! What will the diagnosis bring? Nikki knows there is a long road ahead for Sharon and she wants to make peace.
Elsewhere, Nick is none too happy when he comes to a stark realization. This will force the Newman power player to make some decisions. Let’s hope they don’t get him in trouble.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) thought she had checkmated Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) for good when she arranged for construction for her new hotel to start across the street from The Grand Pheonix – at 5 AM. Seems Abby was a good little citizen.
She went to a City Council meeting and asked for special permission to do it. And because she’s a Newman, perky and very, very wealthy, she got her way! Shocker!
But Phyllis, who is redheaded, vicious, and less rich, isn’t about to take it lying down. (Which is odd, since Phyllis makes so many business decisions while lying down….) If Abby thinks she’s won this round, she has a big shock coming.
Phyllis also knows how to be a good citizen – behind the scenes. She makes a move that makes a mockery of Abby’s plans. Will Abby back down? Or simply ramp up her assault? Whose side are the fans on? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
