Breaking The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Adam’s life taking another dark turn when he ends up in court once again.
Adam’s (Justin Hartley) facing charges for the brutal beating of a prison guard, and he’s as guilty as it gets. The poor correction officer is now fighting for his life after slipping into a coma. While Adam never intended to hurt the officer, his hallucinations may not be enough of an excuse.
Bad News Keeps on Coming
Adam has withered away in jail. He’s a mere shell of the once mighty and powerful man who Genoa City residents feared. He’s no longer the vengeful scheme king or the sweet man Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) loves. Adam is breaking down and becoming a dark and depressing character.
Insanity is His Only Option!
Michael (Christian LeBlanc) urges Adam to plead insanity with the hopes it’ll invoke some pity. If they can convince the judge Adam was in a weak mental state, perhaps the sentence won’t be as extreme. Adam’s weak with hunger, is lacking sleep, and falling apart at the seams. Michael is sure Adam’s not well enough to stand trial.
However, Adam has other ideas. He’s not going to shy away from his punishment. He out a good man in the hospital and took a father and husband away from his family. If Adam had held it together, none of this would have happened.
Instead of taking the easy way out, Adam shocks everyone and pleads guilty. He wants to take his sentence like a man and deal with the consequences of his actions.
