The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, October 14, 2021, is a game of Jesse, Jesse, who knows where Jesse is? Billy Abbott wants to find the man who promised to blow up Victoria Newman and Ashland Locke’s wedding.
Victor Newman tasks Adam Newman with finding the man so they can stop him from blowing up Victoria and Ashland’s wedding. Ashland wants to find the man for obvious reasons, and Victoria wants to never see him again. Meanwhile, Sally Spectra’s entire career hinges on Victoria making a last-minute wedding-gown switch. As brides are well known to do.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) comes in to help Victoria (Amelia Heinle) get ready for her big day, which Ashland (Richard Burgi) takes as his cue to leave. Victoria was never one hundred percent in love with the dress Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) picked out for her, and Sally takes advantage of that ambivalence.
The redhead realizes her dress has been spotted and makes a passionate pitch to Victoria stressing that she designed the dress specifically for her – without mentioning that she overheard her describing her dream ensemble. Victoria isn’t having it and throws Sally out of her room without so much as trying the dress on.
Later, however, Sally is stunned to see Victoria wearing the dress as she appears, ready to march down the aisle. Summer Newman (Hunter King), who earlier couldn’t wait to blame Sally for her role in forcing Summer to accept her dream job in her dream country, is duly impressed and wonders who the mystery designer is.
While Billy (Jason Thompson), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Ashland put aside their Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) hunt for the wedding, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) changes his mind yet again and tells Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) he isn’t going to his sister’s ceremony. But then, Nick is the one who comes face to face with Jesse.
