The Young and the Restless Recap: Kay Don’t Need Your Stinking Intervention!

The Young and the Restless classic episode recap for Tuesday, April 28, 2020, features Kay telling those who love her what they can do with their concern, Jack accepting that Victor has won – again, Phyllis blaming others for her problems – again, and Dru warning Devon away from Lily.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Kay (Jeanne Cooper) was not interested in being intervened with, even as her son, Brock, her good friend, Liz, and Lauren (Tracey Bergman) sniffled about how much they love her and fear they’re losing her.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering why Jill (Jess Walton) was talking about her and Kay’s mother-daughter relationship, she’s not being metaphorical. There were a couple of years there when Jill was believed to be the baby Kay gave up.

Yup, it was as terrible as it sounds. Especially when viewers later learned that baby had been a boy. That’s a pretty big mistake to make!

Victory Goes To Victor

Victor (Eric Braeden) poured money into a cash strapped Jabot… as long as Jack (Peter Bergman) left for good. John (Jerry Douglas) made all the right noises about valuing his son over his company. But even Jack saw the writing on the wall. He packed up his stuff and walked off… swearing, like MacArthur, that he would return. He eventually did.

Sacrificial Lamb

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) blamed Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) for the fact that she lied about Daniel’s paternity to Danny and when he found out, Danny resolved to continue being his son’s father… but Phyllis would no longer be welcome in Daniel’s life. Daniel agreed with his mom – this is all Danny’s fault! He warned Danny never to call him his son again.

Stay Away

Dru (Victoria Rowell) told street kid Devon (Bryton James) to stay away from Lily (Christel Khalil). Devon countered that Dru is being pretty judgy… for someone with the same background.
