It’s official. Hunter King and Michael Mealor have exited The Young and the Restless as Summer Newman Abbott and Kyle Abbott. The two actors have already filmed their final scenes, which means the super couple has departed the Genoa City canvas…at least for now.

King told Soap Opera Digest that she has wrapped filming “at the moment,” however, she didn’t sound definitive about the situation. “You may see Summer and Kyle at some point soon,” teased the actress, noting that she is “definitely open to coming back and popping in for a visit.”

Mealor shared King’s sentiments, adding that he, too, was “always open” to a return. While Kyle and Summer may currently be in Milan, “maybe there will be a little vacation to Genoa City sometime soon.”

Bringing the Drama
