Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Victoria and Billy’s Kids Contract SORAS

Y&R spoilers revealed that Victoria Newman Locke convinced Ashland Locke that they should send her children, Katie and Johnny, to boarding school. (Does Billy Abbott get a say?) Enough kids in Genoa City have gone to a boarding school that we know what often happens when they go.

Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Katie and Johnnie Get SORAS

Granted, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) went to boarding school and did not get SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). Instead, she went because the previous portrayer, Alyvia Alyn Lind, had other projects going on. However, plenty of other children went off for a while and returned somewhat older or even much older.

Ironically, several people related to these two children were SORAS’d. Their mom and dad, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) went away for a while and then came back conveniently much older. Johnny and Katie’s uncle Nick (Joshua Morrow) also experienced this syndrome. Given the family history, it makes good sense that these two children will return to town as angsty teens in a few months.

Enlivened Teen Scene

Right now, Y&R spoilers show the teen scene is seriously lacking. With only Faith (Reylynn Caster) and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) as the entire teenage group in Genoa City, it’s hard to feel any enthusiasm about the teen storylines.

Adding in Katie and Johnny could at least bring a bit of drama. Perhaps Katie will go after Moses while Johnny and Faith could commiserate and grow closer. Sure, Victoria is Faith’s aunt and Johnny’s adoptive mom, but that doesn’t rule out a potential relationship since it’s not a blood tie — though it could lead to some awkward dinners!

Others who could use a trip to boarding school to age quickly are Christian Newman and Connor Newman. Perhaps Y&R will have a storyline for the younger set going on in time for summer.
