Y&R spoilers recently hinted that all with Diane Jenkins is not quite what it seems. Cracks formed in her story after Nikki Newman traveled to Los Angeles to get the scoop from Deacon Sharpe about what her rival dud during her time as Taylor Jenson, and we speculate that she had a close Genoa City tie — Sheila Carter.
Y&R Spoilers: Diane And Sheila Have a Wealthy Friend
Deacon (Sean Kanan) dropped the bombshell on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that Diane (Susan Walters) rode around in a fancy car, indicating that she was rich or had a rich significant other. That didn’t line up with the story of austerity that Diane told upon her return to Genoa City.
Similarly, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) has money, and its origins seem murky at best. Where did Sheila’s money come from? Nobody seems to know, but we have an idea.
Mystery Man
Perhaps the mystery-shrouded new character that Trevor St. John (ex. Victor Lord Jr., One Life to Live) will portray is a rich man with ties to Genoa City. We suspect that he has a reason to want to see trouble foisted upon some of the city’s most prominent families. Maybe this character helped both Diane and Sheila with a goal in mind — revenge.
Obviously, both Sheila and Diane are primed and ready for some revenge of their own. Sheila surely has unfinished business in GC, and she’s certainly painted herself into a corner in L.A. after shooting her own son and daughter-in-law. What better way to move on than to move? At least it would possibly buy her some time.

As for Diane, we suspect she’s playing the long game. No doubt, she wants to have a relationship with her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and grandson, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). However, there’s no way her return is as simple as that. After the way she was treated and the way most of the city is treating her now, Diane almost certainly wants to get some payback. We think she may just team up with Sheila and the mystery man to get it.
