Y&R spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor’s family worries about her not accepting that Chance Chancellor died in the bombing that destroyed the safehouse. Ashley Abbott even worried to Victor Newman that their daughter might break from reality like she did after extreme duress. We predict that’s precisely what will happen to Abby.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) remains convinced that Chance is alive and plans to return to Genoa City. She knows that her husband will return to her and Dominic. Never mind that all the evidence points to the opposite — that Chance perished in the explosion.
Yes, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) believe that Abby is refusing to accept the facts. So do Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Everyone who cares about Abby feels concerned. While Abby admits she isn’t doing great, she seems to blame everyone else for not believing her when she states Chance is alive despite the proof to the contrary.
Y&R spoilers showed that even Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) thinks that his ex-girlfriend might be disassociating with things. Abby’s sudden snap at Nate made us think it was possibly one of the first real emotions we’ve seen from her during this whole thing. However, if you blinked, you probably missed her short sentence where she yelled at the doctor. Abby went right back to her crying and whining. It almost felt like we briefly saw another person.
We speculate that the brief moment between her and Nate was the start of Abby’s break from reality. She will continue to experience moments of being almost a different person, and we honestly think that’d be great. Right now, having Abby not believe Chance died robs us of her genuine reaction. However, if it’s because Abby is starting to fracture, then perhaps we can live with it. Think this speculation may happen? Let us know in the comments section below.
