The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, December 16, 2019, reveal more pieces of Amanda’s past coming to light. Her life before Genoa City is a mysterious puzzle and Devon gets a lucky break when he’s treated to a few crumbs of shocking intel. Make sure to tune in so you don’t miss the drama.
It’s not easy being a newcomer to the city, especially in Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) case. She has Hilary’s face, Hilary’s voice, Hilary’s body, and strangely, shares some similar history. It seems she grew up much like her lookalike.
Neither woman had an easy childhood. Hilary was raised by an alcoholic and Amanda grew up in foster care. These strong ladies worked against all odds to get where they were and clawed their way to the top.
Sadly, unlike Hilary, Amanda’s life didn’t get easier from there. She fell in love with the wrong man and he turned her life upside down.
Apparently, her engagement ended in restraining orders, which is what caused Amanda to take a shady case and flea her violent lover.
It seems, getting that fateful call from Colin (Tristan Rogers), disguising himself as Chance (Donny Boaz), came at the right time. She needed to run, she needed to hide, so flying across the country seemed like the exact right answer.

What does all this mean? Could it be Amanda isn’t stalking Cane (Daniel Goddard) like viewers thought?
Is she really keeping an eye on her ex to make sure there is enough distance between them? If so, it looks like he may have caught up with her too. Poor Amanda gets a shock when a phone call comes in that leaves her shaking in her boots.
