While Sally seemed relieved that Chloe spoke for her at the meeting, Chloe wasn’t thrilled that her boss missed it. She especially got even more perturbed when Sally admitted she’d been with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). However, Sally assured Chloe that she got closure from her talk with her ex.

Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) returned to the office at Newman Enterprises, and Nick updated her on Victor Newman’s demand that he fire Sally. He mentioned that he didn’t do what Victor wanted, though, especially since the plan was for Nick to be the Newman Media CEO. However, Nick did express his concern that Sally was second-guessing herself, which concerned Victoria. He felt it was because of Adam. Victoria thought it was silly that Sally let Adam throw her off her game, but Nick stood up for her and warned Victoria not to let her go this quickly.

Y&R Spoilers Recap 4

At Newman Media, Nick walked in on the end of Chloe telling off Sally because of missing the meeting due to Adam. He wondered if everything was okay. Nick asked Sally how the marketing summit went, and she deferred to Chloe without admitting that she’d missed it. Both women stumbled over their words while trying to explain to Nick without admitting that Sally missed it. Nick quickly called them out on their attempt to keep the truth from him. Ultimately, Sally admitted she screwed up, and there wasn’t any good reason for her to miss the meeting.

Chloe left, and Sally confessed that she missed the meeting because she ran into Adam. Nick wasn’t impressed, but he did appreciate that she told him the truth. Nick commiserated with Sally that the whole mess with Adam did a real number on her. Sally promised to make things right after Nick said that he can’t ignore that she missed the meeting. He advised her not to let Adam mess with her mind. Nick expressed his confidence in Sally, but he urged her to get Adam out of his system.

After Nick left, Chloe returned, and Sally asked her how she could’ve been so careless to miss the meeting. Chloe said Sally could fix it by staying away from Adam from now on, but Sally freaked out at her Chief Operating Officer and friend about the heartbreak she experienced. Chloe stormed out and said she was done.

As for Nick, he went back to the office, and Victoria was there. She was furious that Sally had missed the meeting, and she told Nick that he should tell Sally there wouldn’t be any second chances.

Young and the Restless: Ruthless

At Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) tried to calm down Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). However, he wasn’t all that interested in being calm. He explained what happened with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) during the meeting with Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton). Nate declared that working with his cousins was a terrible idea.

Y&R Spoilers Recap 1

Elena encouraged Nate not to burn any bridges, and he said he didn’t plan to. Even so, he thought he’d go ahead and resign as soon as he calmed down a bit. She asked what his future plans were, and she suggested that Nate come back to work at the hospital. However, he said he wouldn’t, especially since he couldn’t be a surgeon anymore…because of Devon.

At that, Elena wondered if Nate blamed her for losing his ability to perform surgery, but he denied it. Then, Elena pointed out that it was just as much her fault as Devon’s. (And, um, wasn’t it Nate’s fault too?) She left, and Nate clearly wasn’t too happy with her.

Then, Nate saw Victoria there, and they chatted about business. She teased that she’d had a business shopping spree, and Nate noted that she seemed quite happy. Victoria expressed her hope that he was doing well at Chancellor-Winters, but then he said he was looking for other opportunities. Victoria told Nate how wonderful his instincts were, but she admitted that she didn’t have a good fit for him at Newman Enterprises. However, she promised to keep Nate in mind for some of her latest acquisitions.

After Victoria left, Imani Benedict (temporarily Denise Boutte) came in, and Nate caught her up on how everything went down. Nate admitted he walked out of the meeting while Jill was on the call, and then he told her he planned to leave Chancellor-Winters. She encouraged him not to quit, and he admitted that nothing that was right should be this difficult. Nate wanted to be somewhere that appreciated him, and Imani said she appreciated him. She encouraged him to stay and not let Devon win. Then she encouraged him to be ruthless with his cousin.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Family Matters

At Chancellor-Winters, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) talked about what happened during their meeting with Jill. Lily got upset that it seemed Billy was taking Nate’s side. She said Devon felt blindsided, but Billy expressed that Nate had good instincts, and he met every single problem Devon had against the music festival with solid answers.

Lily felt responsible for easing the tension between her brother mad her cousin. However, Billy told her that Nate and Devon needed to settle that outside of the office, especially since she and Devon were equals, and it wasn’t her job to mediate.

Billy and Lily The Young and the Restless

Neither Billy nor Lily loved Jill’s idea of taking the company public. The idea blindsided them both. Then Billy told Lily that he felt that Devon wasn’t seeing the good in Nate’s ideas. He expressed his concern that Devon didn’t like the competition with Nate, especially since Nate’s new ideas might hurt Devon’s ego. Lily wanted to figure it all out before everything exploded, which would harm both the business and the family.

Billy took a few minutes and gave Lily a shoulder massage to help her release her tension. He told her she was born to be a CEO and how great she is at her job.
