The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 10, 2022, brings the Abbotts meeting Allie Nguyen all at once and Lily Winters and Devon Hamilton discussing presenting their joined companies to the world. Plus, Nick Newman and Sharon Rosales planned Rey Rosales’s memorial, and Diane Jenkins showed up.
Meeting the Abbotts all at once was clearly overwhelming for Allie (Kelsey Wang). Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) gave her a big welcome to the family, and they got to know each other a bit. They also clued her in that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was in town.
She showed up spontaneously because she needed a break. They insisted she stay at the Abbott mansion while she was in Genoa City. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) reiterated that he was glad she was there.
The Chancellor Winters crew minus Billy met at Nate Hastings’s (Sean Dominic) penthouse. They planned how Devon (Bryton James) and Lily (Christel Khalil) would present their newly merged company to the world. Then talk turned to how Billy was the only leader in the company who wasn’t officially a member of the family in the whole family business.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) walked in as the meeting broke up, and she wanted to talk about Nate’s work, but he wanted to focus on her. She complained that work wasn’t the same without Nate. Then they went upstairs for some relaxation.
Back at Chancellor Winters’s newly updated offices, Billy dropped the Diane bombshell on Lily, and he revealed that he’d also met Allie. Then she updated him about the meeting she had with Nate and Devon. Billy also let his girlfriend know that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) busted him on the podcast. She refrained from saying “I told you so,” and the two enjoyed some adult time. When that was over, Billy went to work on his podcast, and he confessed that his ramblings are universal but informed by his experiences.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) spoke about Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) small memorial service in Genoa City. Nick encouraged Sharon not to go to Miami alone, and he offered to go with her if she couldn’t take one of the kids.
Sharon walked away to take care of some last-minute details before she had to leave town, and Diane walked in very much alive. They rehashed her whole story since she faked her death. Nick felt shocked to hear that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was in town and hadn’t gotten in touch with him. Not surprisingly, Nick’s reception of Diane was frosty. He warned her to stay away from his daughter.
Sharon walked up, and she felt stunned to see Diane. Nick rushed Sharon out of there as Diane insisted she didn’t mean to cause anybody any pain. Later, Sharon worried about Nick, but he put the focus back on her. She let him know that being there for her was enough to help.
Jack went to find Kyle after he left the house. They talked through meeting Allie, and then Kyle admitted he needed to talk to his mom on his own. He went upstairs and knocked on Diane’s door but she wasn’t there. She eventually showed up, and Kyle told his mother he intended to go back to Milan.
Jack went back home, and his sisters let him know that they approved of Allie. They gave Jack advice, and they encouraged him to give Allie a shoulder to lean on. When Jack was alone with Allie, she broke down crying on that very strong shoulder of his.
