The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, March 21, 2022, brings Jack Abbott back to Genoa City, but the mysterious texts don’t stop. Plus, Billy Abbott has yet another epiphany, Devon makes a surprising decision, and Allie Ngyuen has somebody spying on her in Los Angeles.
Jack (Peter Bergman) returned to Genoa City. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is the only person who ever supported a friend — she’s a saint — all hail Saint Phyllis and your wise counsel. Even Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) agreed. She was so grateful that Phyllis was in L.A. to help support her brother when he — wait what — learned he had a granddaughter! That’s right, Traci, you’re a new great aunt to an adult graduate student. Congrats!
The mysterious texter continued sending unexpected messages letting Jack know that he left too soon, and the mystery person would work on Allie. Phyllis pushed Jack to let her help him with finding out who it was, but he didn’t seem quite willing just yet.
Meanwhile, Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) video called Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Did he know that Chancellor Industries and Hamilton Winters merger was written in the stars? After all, what would Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) have said about Lily Winters’s (Christel Khalil) genius, amazing plan to make a huge conglomerate like Newman Locke — because that merger is going so great?
Devon hedged a bit with Jill, but later when Lily came over, he gave her the good news that he agreed to merge their companies as long as they had a well-put-together plan for how to handle any contingencies and problems. Wunderkind Lily most certainly had that already.
When Amanda (Mishael Morgan) returned from catching up with Phyllis and learning that Phyllis and Jack most certainly aren’t romantic, she seemed blindsided by Devon’s decision. However, once she ascertained that Devon had dotted his i’s and crossed his t’s, she felt ready to toast to the good news. After all, the merger meant she and Devon would work together.
At his home recording studio, Billy (Jason Thompson) finally, at long last, had great success talking to himself…er recording his podcast. You see, Delia’s death was the single most important thing that shaped his adulthood. He realized that he’d been failing to heal, in part, as an effort to stay close to her. However, through meditation and love, he could now move forward while honoring Delia’s memory.
Traci listened to her brother’s new recording after Jack left, and she seemed thrilled. Also, Lily was happy to hear that things went well for her boyfriend while she was wheeling and dealing with her brother.
Finally, in Los Angeles, Allie (Kelsey Wang) had a talk with her late father. She lamented that he was truly gone, and she wondered who she could turn to now since her mom was busy with her own life. Finally, Allie pointed out that if her dad had cut out Jack, then perhaps she should too.
Allie fell asleep on the couch at Keemo’s house, and she awoke with a start after the shadow of somebody spying on her crossed her body. Who’s there?
