Y&R Spoilers Recap For June 16: Jill Calls Out Diane’s Motives

The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, June 16, 2022, brings some pointed words from Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson to Diane Jenkins. Plus, Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman Abbott surprise Jack Abbott as Nikki Newman has words of wisdom for Victor Newman, and Adam Newman and Sally Spectra christen his new office.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Jill (Jess Walton) enjoyed some coffee with Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman). She said plenty of pointed things about Diane’s return from the dead, but overall, she was amenable to the woman. Jack left, but Jill asked Diane to stay — after all, Jill never made the list of potential suspects in Diane’s “murder.”

Things got real after Jack left, and Jill wondered what Diane really wanted. Oh, all she wanted was her son and nothing else. Of course, if that was true, pigs would have flown through Crimson Lights. Jill pointed out how much being on the arm of an eligible bachelor like Jack would do to rehab her reputation, and Diane deflected, accusing Jill of wanting Jack for herself. Ultimately, though, Diane agreed that she’d be a fool to turn Jack down if he ever offered her something more than cordial co-parenting.

Young and the Restless: A New Job

Summer (Allison Lanier) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) planned their future. Since Marchetti has the CEO position opening up, Summer suggested Kyle step down as co-CEO of Jabot given how successful they are as a team. Later, Kyle told Jack, and he seemed surprised but reasonably supportive of Kyle’s possible move. However, they all decided to sleep on it.

Then things turned to personal situations, and Jack revealed he’d had dinner with Diane after the big launch party. Summer wanted Jack to explain what happened between him and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Ultimately, Jack refused to spill the beans, suggesting that Summer ask her mother. Kyle seemed thrilled that his parents got along, but Summer was less than happy.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Willful Daughter

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wondered why she and Victor (Eric Braeden) kept treating Victoria (Amelia Heinle) like a child. Well…she’s their daughter, so Victor planned to continue keeping Victoria a child forever. Hmmm. Well, Nikki didn’t really see how helpful that was. After all, Victoria could become a success all on her own, even if Ashland (Robert Newman) let her down again, and then she’d be estranged from the family too. Ultimately, Victor had another plan — waiting on the couple to make the next move.

As for the woman in question, she and Ashland enjoyed their first evening back in New York City. Ashland remained focused on sticking it to Adam (Mark Grossman) and Victor, but Victoria had her own ideas. She didn’t want any mention of the name “Newman” in their new company, AND she wanted to explore bringing art to the digital world.

Y&R: Christening

Finally, Adam and Sally (Courtney Hope) revel in his new job. First up? Dispensing with Victoria’s portrait. Once that came down, Sally pulled out the champagne to celebrate her man’s promotion. Then, she suggested they christen the Newman Enterprises CEO office the same way they’d christened the Newman Media CEO office. Adam said he loved Sally, and they got down to the business of breaking in the desk.
