In the interest of being fair, Summer Newman Abbott and Kyle Abbott gave both their moms jobs at the company Kyle’s dad bought for them on The Young and the Restless. Because that’s what rich people do. They pull themselves up by their bootstraps and earn their money the old-fashioned way — they inherit it.

Unfortunately, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) hate each other. Not in a frenemies sort of way. Not in an OK, then let’s keep our distance sort of way. But in an, I need to destroy you and run you out town sort of way. Should Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier) keep both on the payroll anyway?
Y&R: No More Drama
A very strange 53% of the audience voted no, they shouldn’t because the working relationship causes too much drama. Uhm…what do you watch soaps for? The calm, rational people doing calm, rational things and working everything out in a professional and pleasant manner?

They should just keep Phyllis on, 22% of you insist. Remember how upset she got when Summer dared move out of town and away from her mommy? If Phyllis couldn’t see her precious baby girl every day, she might have had a stroke.

Y&R: Good For You
Then again, an almost equal 21% love the drama and insist that both women should be left where they are. We really don’t care about Marchetti’s new line or the Jabot spreadsheets. What we care about is Phyllis and Diane getting in each other’s faces!
Market Rate
Only 4% are rooting for Diane to be the one kept on. After all, Phyllis has lots of other job options. Diane doesn’t have nearly as many…what with having played dead for over a decade. Think of it as a jobs program for the newly reanimated.
