Y&R Alum Hunter King Announces Exciting Project In Paradise

Summer Newman Abbott is back on the canvas at The Young and the Restless, with Allison Lanier stepping into the role, as the previous actress, Hunter King, has moved on to other projects. The fan-favorite recently revealed the details of her upcoming movie.

Hunter King Shoots Hallmark Movie In Hawaii

King took to Instagram to share the trailer from the Hallmark Movie Channel film Hidden Gems.

She wrote in the caption, “From getting to work in Hawaii, to magically avoiding getting sea sick (hallelujah), to working with such a fun cast & crew, AND not to mention making some of the most amazing friends… I think it’s safe to say I had a shell of a time 😉 thank you @hallmarkchannel for letting me live out my rom com dream❤️ Comes out this Saturday, June 4th🌴”

The description of the film reads, “While prepping for her sister’s wedding, Addie loses her grandmother’s ring in the waters of Hawaii. She hires sailor Jack to scuba dive with her to find it and rediscovers her love of the sea.”

The actress’s former Y&R co-stars, including Melissa Ordway (Abby Chancellor), Kate Linder (Esther Valentine), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair Williams), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), and Loren Lott (ex-Ana Hamilton), all chimed in with their congratulations on the upcoming movie.

Hidden Gems also stars Beau Mirchoff as the love interest for the character Hunter King portrays. You can check out the premiere on Saturday, June 4 at 8/7c on the Hallmark Channel to see what this fan favorite has been up to recently. You can also check out the movie’s trailer below.
