Young and the Restless Fans Are Thrilled Jill Farren Phelps Was Fired??!!

W hen news that “Young and the Restless” fired Jill Phelps hit last week, fans were both relieved and shocked.

It’s common knowledge that Phelps wasn’t a popular EP. Soap Hub asked if you thought she deserved to be let go.

Of the nearly 3,000 votes, 74% are happy Phelps got the ax. You believe the show moved downhill under her rule. She’s lost major favorites including Billy Miller (ex-Billy) and Michael Muhney (ex-Adam). In addition, she created long storylines and helmed the recent remodel of the beloved Chancellor Mansion.

A small 21% are angry Phelps was fired. You felt her storylines were dynamic, exciting, and everything you expected from a soap opera. Despite having an unpopular opinion, you’re sad to see her go.

You loved her approach to creating excitement. If it weren’t for Phelps, the show wouldn’t have characters like Dylan (Steve Burton), Hilary (Mishael Morgan) or Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva).
