After Friday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, along with the preview for today’s episode, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize Luca’s days in Genoa City are numbered.

Hitting the Road
Actor Miles Gaston Villanueva confirmed in a series of tweets (see below) that he’s exiting the number one soap opera he rejoined about a year ago. His first time on the show back in 2013, he played Father Martin. However, it was the character of Luca that gave him longevity, especially his pairing with Hunter King (Summer). He always walked on the smarmy side, inserting himself in Newman business and using anything and anyone to get ahead.

On the Dark Side
For a brief minute, it seemed maybe his love for Summer could turn things around for Luca, but it wasn’t meant to be. He’d done too much, alienated too many people, and now with him putting Summer in jeopardy this week, it’s time for him to go. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless to find out just how this character leaves Genoa City — in prison stripes or a body bag.
