Y&R Speculation: Can She Fake It Till She Makes It?

Sharon on Young and the Restless
 Comments

Some fans are questioning their sanity over how Sharon (Sharon Case) on The Young and the Restless isn’t questioning how her body is exactly the same after the birth of her son. Spoilers for Wednesday, November 25 make things even more concerning as no one else questions Sharon’s post-natal symptoms either.

Baby Christian has been in Sharon’s arms long enough to be introduced to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and his daddy Dylan (Steve Burton), and even given a name, but Sharon has no symptoms of having delivered the child they are now calling Sullivan McAvoy.

It’s true that every pregnancy and delivery are different and bodies never react the same way, but Sharon isn’t new at having kids. Sure, it may be feasible that she was too doped up to remember the birthing process (historically she did completely forget she had twins and was unaware Mariah existed), but after three trips to the delivery room, you would think she’d know her body and the recovery process pretty well.

As doped up as Dr. Anderson has kept Sharon, she seems pretty aware of what’s going on around her. She’s no longer in a zombie-like state and is sitting up and capable of understanding what everyone is saying to her. She clearly isn’t on pain meds as she can hold the baby and walk around with him. How is it that the doctor had to remind Sharon to feed the child and she doesn’t question the urge to do so herself?

Fans are starting to question the sanity of the writers, they hope this storyline will play out quickly. Sage and Nick are in emotional pain while Sharon and Dylan have a world of hurt coming up. No one will win in this situation and hopefully Dr. A will pay for playing with people’s lives.
