Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of December 18, 2023

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

Days of our Lives

The Horton Christmas tree trimming party gets underway on Friday, December 22, which means a few key returns to Days of our Lives. Revered vet Bill Hayes, who was conspicuously missing for Thanksgiving, is finally back on the scene as Doug Williams.

Also appearing will be Henry Witcher as Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son, Thomas DiMera. The role was previously portrayed by Daytime Emmy nominee Cary Christopher. And Autumn Gendron is back as Chad’s daughter, Charlotte DiMera.

Colton Little returns to Salem as ISA agent Andrew Donovan on Wednesday, December 20. He’ll have emotionally charged scenes with his TV sister, Emily O’Brien’s Theresa.

General Hospital

Also appearing will be Henry Witcher as Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son, Thomas DiMera. The role was previously portrayed by Daytime Emmy nominee Cary Christopher. And Autumn Gendron is back as Chad’s daughter, Charlotte DiMera.

The Young and the Restless

Brad Sanders, remembered for providing The Clarence Update – highlights from the CBS daytime lineup back in the 1990s, is heading back to the daytime scene. He’ll make a special appearance in Genoa City as the soap-loving character later this month.

Colleen Zenk continues her terror reign as Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) worst nightmare, Jordan. Look for the dastardly character to push Nikki to the limit on Thursday, December 21.

The Bold and the Beautiful

In a surprise move, Krista Allen is out as Dr. Taylor Hayes. The show opted not to renew her contract when it expired in October. Allen, who replaced Hunter Tylo as Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) ex-wife in 2021, made her last appearance on the soap in November.

A pair of Big Brother housemates from Season 25 turn up on the soap this week. Matt Klotz, who was this season’s runner-up, and Cirie Fields, who also competed in four seasons of Survivor and won season one of The Traitors, are slated to air on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
