Rebecca Herbst was born Rebecca Ann Liberty Herbst in Encino, California. By the age of five, “Becky”, as she is referred to by her family, knew that she wanted to be on television. She started with commercials. Herbst now has more than 60 under her belt.
Herbst dabbled with the idea of becoming a professional skater, but nixed the idea at the age of 16, to concentrate on acting full-time. Her first television appearances included L.A. Law, Highway to Heaven, McGee and Me!, Why Me?, Kaleidoscope, Beverly Hills 90210, Shrunken Heads, Step by Step, Boy Meets World, Donor Unknown, Sister Sister, The Lazarus Man, and Hefner: Unauthorized.
In 1996, Rebecca Herbst landed the recurring role of Suzee on Space Cases and added the role of Kristen on Brotherly Love in 1997. Later that year, Herbst auditioned for the role of Elizabeth Webber on General Hospital and won the role over the competition.

Originally, the contract was for three years and yet, almost 25 years later, Herbst is still going strong. Rebecca Herbst credits Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) for helping her early on, navigating the world of daytime, and working opposite veterans like Maurice Benard, Genie Francis, and Jacklyn Zeman. Added bonus– she met her future husband, Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan) on the set.
When she isn’t working, Herbst loves spending time with her husband Michael and their three children, Ethan, Ella, and Emerson. She also likes to nurture her other creative outlet– fashion design. Herbst has designed many of her own dresses for the Daytime Emmys and for her co-stars like Natalia Livingston and Kimberly McCullough. Fans can follow Rebecca Herbst on Twitter and Instagram.
