Lexi Ainsworth — A Biography
Alexandra Danielle Ainsworth was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her career as a performer began at the age of 3 when she performed in a local ballet company. Ainsworth moved on to theater, appearing in The Wizard of Oz and in the Actors Equity Production of To Kill a Mockingbird as Scout at the age of 13, and sparking her interest in acting.
After attending acting workshops in New York and Los Angeles, Lexi landed an agent and started booking commercials on a national level. Ainsworth landed two TV roles in 2005, Medical Investigation and Gilmore Girls, and feature film a short, Caroline Crossing.
In 2007, Lexi scored a feature film, The Gray Man, opposite Patrick Bauchau. More roles followed on such shows as iCarly, Cougar Town, and Criminal Minds. A couple of TV movies, Wild Child, Westside, and Death Clique.
Ainsworth snagged the coveted role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital in 2009, putting her toe-to-toe with daytime legends Maurice Benard and Nancy Lee Grahn, earning her a Daytime Emmy statuette in 2017. She played the role on and off for 8 years, tackling other projects during downtime when she is not in Port Charles.
