Kirsten Storms

Kirsten Storms — A Biography

Kirsten Renee Storms was born in Orlando, Florida. After visiting her father at work, CBS sportscaster Mike Storms, Kirsten announced she wanted to be an actress. Her parents enrolled her in classes, and at age 5 a talent scout convinced the family that Storms should undergo extensive acting courses in New York.

After getting an agent, Kirsten started with commercials. By age 11, she booked a recurring gig on Second Noah. Other TV credits followed like The Cape, Sing Me A Story with Belle, Crayola Kids Adventures: The Trojan Horse, You Wish, and Any Day Now. But it was her fan-favorite role as Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century that put her on the critic’s radar.

At 12, Kirsten’s family moved to Los Angeles. More roles followed, on such shows as Love Letters, The Rockford Files: If It Bleeds…It Leads, Johnny Tsunami, Movie Stars, One World, and a recurring role on 7th Heaven as Laura Cummings.

In 2000, Kirsten Storms landed her biggest role yet– Belle Black on Days of our Lives. It wasn’t long before she was a part of a teen super couple after being paired with Jason Cook as Shawn Brady, winning over the next generation of fans. Kirsten took home a Soap Opera Digest Award in 2001 and a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her role.

She added voice-over artist with the animated series Kim Possible The Series, opening up a whole new fan base, followed by two Kim Possible TV movies. She also found time to add two sequels to her Zenon series, Zenon: The Zequel and Zenon Z3.

In 2005, she snagged the coveted role as Maxie Jones, the daughter of daytime’s supercouple, Frisco and Felicia, and the recipient of her cousin BJ’s heart, on General Hospital. Kirsten was able to tackle more mature storylines that were more in line with her own personal growth. She worked double duty in 2007 with General Hospital’s experimentation of a nighttime series, General Hospital’s: Night Shift, and continued voicing Kim Possible.

Kirsten Storms continued tacking on primetime roles on her resume such as CSI: Miami, Clubhouse, Skater Boys, and Winterthorne. When she isn’t working she loves spending time with her daughter, Harper Rose (with her ex-husband Brandon Barash), and hanging out with her friends.
