They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject. Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps but can you guess who this little darling grew up to be?
This young man (now all grown up) is no longer on soaps, but he is an alum of one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.
He is also known for his recurring roles on Supernatural and 90210. Aside from his acting, this man is a director – who helms episodes of a certain NBC serial – a former motocross, go-kart, and a stock car racer.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Adam Gregory (ex-Thomas Forrester, BB), Casey Deidrick (ex-Chad DiMera, DAYS), Matt Cohen (ex-Dr. Griffin Munro, GH), or Blair Redford (ex-Scotty Grainger, YR)?
Though Gregory – the actor who succeeded Drew Tyler Bell in the role of Thomas Forrester and was then himself succeeded by Pierson Fodé – is known for appearing in 90210 as Ty Collins, he isn’t today’s featured star.
No, Casey isn’t the mystery teen. But they do have a few things in common – aside from their association with DAYS. Deidrick did indeed appear in 90210 and he was also a participant in extreme sports – though his preference was skateboarding rather than racing.
Redford’s career began thanks to his winning a competition organized by Warner Bros. and his eventual hiring as Scotty at YR. But though he later portrayed Oscar for 10 episodes of 90210, he isn’t the boy pictured above.
After appearing in a plethora of primetime programs, including Supernatural (where he played, among other characters, a young John Winchester) and 90210 (as Jeremy), Cohen spent three years playing General Hospital’s Griffin – a physician and priest (though he eventually renounced his vows).
Though he continues to act and direct, Cohen spends most of his time on the set of Entertainment Tonight where he has interviewed film luminaries such as Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, and Melissa McCarthy. So if you guessed that the picture might be of a young Mr. Cohen then you were right on the money!
