Although Steve Burton (Dylan, GH ex-Jason) left The Young and the Restless of his own accord, it is still tough to finish up and move forward even with amazing plans for the future.
Recently, the accomplished and beloved actor posted a bittersweet farewell to all his Y&R co-workers to his Instagram account. He thanked them all for making him feel like family, which certainly makes a job feel like home when that type of comradery occurs.
You can tell they’ve become incredibly close just by reading Daniel Goddard’s (Cane) fond farewell message. These relationships he’s built with those who make up Genoa City are far beyond co-workers or even friends, and they’ll continue in a different way even as he changes paths.

Obviously, leaving “family” is a decision he didn’t take lightly, but it looks like one that Steve Burton feels comfortable with especially judging by the hashtags he posted along with his recently announced brand new endeavor.
It looks like he’s ready to spend more time with his own lovely little family at home. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the handsome actor is done with daytime for good. Perhaps he simply needs a break and could come back bigger and better than ever in the future.
