Going to the General Hospital Chapel: Should Portia and Curtis Marry?

Portia Robinson and Curtis Ashford have been dating for a while now on General Hospital. They’ve been living together for a while now. So is there any reason why the happy couple shouldn’t tie the knot as soon as possible?

General Hospital Polling: The Lying Game

We’ve got a reason, 37% of overachievers are sticking their hand up in the air, waving it madly. How’s this for a reason? Portia (Brook Kerr) is lying to Curtis (Donnell Turner). We’re pretty sure the guy she had an affair with back in the day is also the father of the girl who calls Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) dad. And if Curtis is, in fact, Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father, then we think this is a fact that ought to be shared BEFORE any wedding bells are rung.

Then again, 34% of General Hospital fans see no reason to wait, at all. Portia and Curtis are great together, and now that Trina’s trial is over, there is nothing to keep them from exchanging I Do’s. After all, if they want to get a storyline beyond just worrying about other people, they need to make a big gesture. A wedding is about as big as it gets. Especially if there’s a secret the bride is keeping from the groom.

And then there are the 29% of voters who would like to point out that we’re not even sure if Curtis and Jordan Ashford are actually legally divorced – and, oh, yeah, you’re pretty sure that Curtis is still in love with his estranged wife. Throw in the secret that Portia is likely keeping, and there is way, way too much that these two still don’t know about each other, to make any kind of lifelong commitment a good idea. Think long and hard before you do anything!
