Cry Uncle: Which One Should GH’s Spencer Cassadine Listen To?

Spencer Cassadine is incredibly bad at making non-self-destructive decisions on General Hospital. But would listening to either of his two great uncles, Cyrus Renault or Victor Cassadine make the situation any better…or a thousand times worse? If it comes to that, which one should Spencer pick?

General Hospital: None of the Above

Make a good decision for just this one time in your life, 63% of voters urge, and just say no to both of them. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) may be a low life, and Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) may enjoy the high life, but, in the end, they are both criminals…and thugs. Neither one has lived a life worth emulating, and Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) needs all the good role models he can get these days.

Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) let his precocious brat run feral, maternal uncle Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) can’t guide his own kids, much less his late sister’s, and there is just so much influence Grandma Laura Collins (Genie Francis) can exert. The last thing Spencer needs is to listen to either of his paternal uncles.

Good GH Intentions

Give Cyrus a shot, 36% are wheedling. He’s trying to be a better person, and you can be his pet project. Even if Cyrus can’t undo all the bad things he’s done, he can at least try to keep Spencer from following in his footsteps. Even if he can’t save his own soul, maybe Spencer’s is still on the table.

Spencer Cassadine: One Exception

Victor may have no qualms about killing people, 1% concede, but they’re pretty sure he wouldn’t kill Spencer. As Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) so snidely told him, “I forgot how beloved you are.” Victor knows nobody really gives a damn about him. He won’t risk losing Spencer, who is kind of still thinking about it, at least.
