This General Hospital couple got it all backward. First, Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Harrison Chase pretended to be the parents of baby Bailey. Then they pretended to be a couple. Then they gave Bailey back to her real mother, Maxie Jones. Then they wondered if they could be a real couple.

This isn’t high-school, guys, 80% of you are raging. You’ve already played house, you’ve already played Mommy and Daddy, isn’t it time to get a move on? Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) is obviously attracted to Chase (Josh Swickard). Chase is obviously attracted to Brook Lynn. He’s shown what a great guy he is by stepping up and usurping (pretend) paternity from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Brook Lynn has shown that she…can be great…by stepping in to help out Maxie (Kirsten Storms). It’s a perfect match! Now kiss already — again!

General Hospital Slow and Steady

Everything is so rushed these days, 17% of the audience laments. We’re loving the slow burn. Not everyone has to jump into bed at first meeting. They should get to know each other. They should get to like each other. They should even, dare we say it, maybe fall in love before falling into lust. Throw us that bone, why don’t you?

And then there are the 3% who believe this couple shouldn’t even be together. Brook Lynn is flighty and spoiled. Chase is steadfast and noble. They’re not even oil and water, they’re matter and antimatter. Getting them together could destroy the universe. And Port Charles already has plenty of people looking to do that.
