The “General Hospital” head, writing duo of Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman offered some fascinating insights into what motivates Julian as his “perfect life” continues to implode.
“Julian definitely loves Alexis, but his whole world is crumbling. He has so much to lose—not only a small child but he has built something,” Passanante told Michael Fairman Soaps.
Altman agreed, saying in a perfect world, Julian (William DeVry) wouldn’t be letting the wife he loves take a fall for a murder he committed.
“He is going to make decisions that affect both of them,” Altman said.
The scribes said that they couldn’t pretend that Julian didn’t have the mob in his blood. He said he’d leave that life when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) asked him to, but now his past has reared its ugly head.

“He was the head of a crime family and had to do some pretty dastardly things back then,” Altman said.
The two raved about Nancy Lee Grahn and William DeVry’s stellar performances as the storyline came to a head over the past few weeks.
