GH Alum Rebecca Budig Has A Special Christmas Surprise For Fans

General Hospital viewers are perplexed as to why there is no sign of Hayden Barnes anywhere, and also, no one seems to be concerned about finding her — not her half-sister, Elizabeth Webber, nor her daughter Violet Finn’s father, Hamilton Finn, even after her mother was murdered. At least fans will get to see her portrayer, Rebecca Budig, on their screens again soon.

Rebecca Budig Wraps Christmas Film

That’s because Budig has just finished shooting a new film, “Fit For Christmas,” that will be a fabulous Christmas present for all of her fans. “And that’s a wrap!” she announced in a post on her official Instagram account.

“Had the most incredible time working on [The Talk’s Amanda Kloots, who created, executive produced, and stars in it] and [writer Anna White] Christmas movie for [CBS] Here are some snapshots from set…a stellar group of people. Can’t wait to see the finished product!” You can see the images from her post below.

Screenwriter White shared the genesis of the project a couple of weeks ago when she said, “In October 2020 [Jacklyn Collier] introduced me via email to the ever-inspiring [Amanda Kloots] who had a great idea for a Christmas movie. We developed it together and, in December 2020, pitched it to CBS. Since then, there’s been lots of notes, lots of zooms, and lots of drafts, but today we finally started filming!”

Kloots also shared some tidbits along the way, especially this dinner with her cast — including Rebecca Budig when she wrote, “Dream team right here! I’m the luckiest! After two years, we start filming tomorrow!!” Now we know the project, which was filmed in Canada, has wrapped. No air date has been revealed as yet, but there’s a good bet Kloots will reveal it on The Talk when it’s been decided.
