Just when it seemed like redemption was possible, General Hospital’s Harmony was revealed to be a baby napper and stone-cold killer. Still, the always-in-demand Inga Cadranel doesn’t have much to frown about. In fact, she’s got a major milestone to celebrate.
And that’s because she was born on April 30, 1978, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which means that this talented performer is turning 45 years old today! Cadranel spent her formative years performing with the Canadian Opera Company, then parlayed her love of music – particularly punk rock – and performing into a career as the lead singer of the band Battlestar.
Cadranel eventually transitioned into acting – the domain of her parents – and quickly established herself as a versatile actress appearing in both comedies and dramas.
She had several high-profile recurring roles on some of the most popular Canadian TV series – Brooke Fairburn in The Eleventh Hour, Zita in MVP, Alfie in Lost Girl, and Detective Angela “Angie” Deangelis in Orphan Black, just to name a few – and starred opposite her husband, Gabriel Hogan, in the sitcom Rent-a-Goalie.
Cadranel’s first film was the Helen Lee-directed The Art of Woo. She subsequently appeared in The Gospel of John, Killshot, The Riverbank, Polar, and The Rest of Us.
Additional credits include guest spots on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Copper, King, Designated Survivor, and Bones, featured roles in several series including The Strain, Jeff Ltd., and The Bridge, as well as in several made-for-TV movies such as Sex & Mrs. X, Matters of Life and Dating, and Fir Crazy. Cadranel has been recurring on General Hospital since February 11, 2019.
