General Hospital Alum Briana Lane Mourns The Loss of Her Husband

Briana Lane, the actress who won hearts when she subbed for Amanda Setton as Brook Lynn Quartermaine on General Hospital, lost her husband, John Lange, on March 14, 2023.

She posted the sad news on Instagram with the comment, “I will love you forever my sweet John. Til we meet again.”

After a long courtship, Lane and Lange exchanged wedding vows at a romantic ceremony held at the Smoke Tree Ranch on December 6, 2016. He was very supportive of her music, acting, and modeling career.

Lange was fondly remembered as a walking encyclopedia of television knowledge and a lover of comedy. Friends have set up a GoFundMe campaign with the hope of being able to help the actress navigate life without him and give him the send-off the beloved husband and friend deserves.

Meanwhile, friends and former co-stars reacted to her post with shock and shared their feelings with her, wanting to show their support for Lane.

Fellow GH co-star Kirsten Storms (Maxie) penned, “Sending you so much love.” While Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) sent her love, “Love you ❤️!!!!

Former Days of our Lives actress Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa) was stunned. “Oh my God. Briana. Sending love and prayers your way.”

Another heartfelt comment came from Mimi Karsh, who wrote, “Oh Briana, my deepest condolences. My memory of teaching you two for your first dance is so strong. The way you held each other and danced together, and made each other laugh. John had such a sweetness about him. I remember working on set with him once, and even in late hours and cold/rainy conditions, he was so lovely to work with. Sending you love.”
